I was surprised to learn that Loudoun County still has 38,000 new houses approved but not yet built.  Because these previous approvals for new development can't be un-done, I hope that future development decisions will be made with this pipeline in mind.

My family and I heard your campaign promises to protect Loudoun's plan for growth, and appreciate your commitment thus far to ensuring that our county grows at a more sustainable pace, including your denial of Braddock Village earlier this year.

For the past several years, Loudoun has grown so fast that many of our community needs haven't been met.  I hope that in addition to meeting the challenge of accommodating new Loudoun residents, the current needs of our existing communities will not be forgotten, including adequate fire and safety services, ballfields, parks and open space, libraries, etc.  The community needs assessments in Sterling and Potomac were a great first step.
