Join PEC for a "Meet the Farmer" Dinner at the Toliver House in Gordonsville to Celebrate Local Foods, Local Wines, and Local Farmers

"Meet the Farmer" Dinner: The Piedmont Environmental Council (PEC) and Toliver House will host a "Meet the Farmer" Dinner on June 10th at 6:30 PM at the Toliver House Restaurant in Gordonsville. A fundraiser for PEC's Buy Fresh Buy Local campaign, the event will feature a delectable 4-course meal comprised completely of locally grown foods and wine-from produce, meat, wine and whisky to bread, cheese, butter and ice cream.
Dinner guests will dine and talk with the local farmers and producers who grew and crafted the foods and wines featured in the evening's gourmet dishes prepared by chef Jonathan Hayward. Featured farms and producers include Retreat Farm in Rapidan, VA; Planet Earth Diversified in Standardsville, VA; Caromont Farm in Esmont, VA; and Perfect Flavor Ice Cream in Waynesboro, VA. Wines and whisky cocktails will be provided by Keswick Vineyards in Keswick, VA and The Copper Fox Distillery in Sperryville, VA. The menu will include dishes such as beet and goat cheese salad, microgreen salad, leg of lamb, and strawberry rhubarb crumble with vanilla ice cream.
